There are different options for traveling from abroad to Bruges by train or shuttle

Traveling to Bruges by train:

A decent option to travel between Bruges and Brussels Airport is by train.

TIP: Traveling by car can cause problems with traffic jams, especially during peak times

(7am-9am and 3pm-6pm) and the parking lot at the airport itself can be pricey.

Every day about 18 trains depart from Bruges to the international airport Brussels-Airport-Zaventem (travel time 30min)

As soon as you arrive at the airport, take the elevator one floor up (departures) to get to the departure hall.

Another option is Brussels-South (Midi) after which transfer via Thalys, Eurostar, TGV Brussels-France, ICE, and Intercity trains to various destinations in Western Europe.

Traveling to Bruges by shuttle bus:

From June 23, there will be a direct shuttle bus (Flibco) between Bruges and Brussels Airport (Zaventem) approximately 13 times a day. There is also a reed (2014) existing shuttle between Bruges and Brussels Charleroi Airport.

Departing and incoming flights were taken into account as much as possible in the travel schedule. This is an early morning flight from a ride to Bruges in the context of a late evening flight perfectly possible
